The just-concluded "HKTDC Entrepreneurship Day Exhibition" was really a success! During the 2-day exhibition, our MEDtaverses received a warm welcome from many visitors. At our IE-B10 booth, we share some particularly popular or successful cases at the exhibition. This is a very interesting VR music therapy program. This project uses classic old songs to lead the elderly back in time and relive the old days through VR virtual reality. We put on VR glasses and listened to the familiar melody, and immediately returned to the days of our youth. In the virtual space, you can meet other elderly people participating in the project. We all know that memory loss is a main symptom of dementia as people age. Researchers developed a VR software that can accurately recreate a senior's past home and environment based on detailed information they provide. Recently, an 80-year-old lady tried out this software. When she put on the VR headset, she saw her home from 50 years ago - the layout and furnishings in the living room were exactly the same, including the old bonsai plant in the corner. More importantly, she saw her husband and three kids playing in the yard, with the bright smile she remembered from her youth, instantly evoking memories from deep in her heart. After using the VR environment, her memory improved noticeably and her mood became more stable.
